I’ll forget the night’s dream as drenched sheets swell
from limbs shot west and dark clouds willed
to tap to tap to tap tap tap on glass half-lit-- come in from the haze
to cool waking sweat from touchless lakes,
the memory of blankets lost when the sky remembered the daylight, dried out with my eyes.
