perhappened is an online literary journal & press, founded by editor-in-chief isaura ren in 2020 & 2021, respectively. perhappened is a portmanteau of the words perhaps & happened, which highlights its focus on those peculiar experiences that make you wonder: did that really happen, or did i just imagine it? perhappened lives for your uncertain & surreal. we crave the frayed edge of memory. we embrace all styles & genres of writing & have no word limits or submission fees. so go ahead: submit to the mag or press & tell us everything. ♡​

Isaura Ren is a writer, editor, and little scamp from the Bay Area. They started a lit mag to make themself read more, and hey, it worked. You can find them daydreaming at your local coffee shop, or gallivanting by the Bay with their pod of harbor seals. They are the author of the chapbooks interlucent (2020) and NO HEROES (2021).

Heath Joseph Wooten is an MFA Candidate in poetry at Northern Michigan University, where he reads shorts and poems for Passages North. He is the world’s last great soda-drinker, the Editor-in-Chief of Von Aegir Literary, and his favorite time of day is the end. You can find his words in places if you look hard enough.

Vaishnavi Sharma is a 21-year-old student, walking through life losing her pens, temper, paints, mind, etc. She likes to talk (a lot) about poetry, history, sciences, and politics. Can always be found with her nose in between the pages of a book, uninterested in the torments of this world. She is the founder of Ayaskala and a freelance editor and content creator.

df parizeau is a scottish/french-canadian writer/editor who still ties their shoes “bunny-ears” style. Their work has been featured online and in print by publications in Canada, the US, and Finland. A bookseller by day, df is also a Communications Assistant with a Vancouver-based marketing firm on the side. They have a firm belief in the 3-0 curveball and that cherry is the best pie.

aleah dye

Aleah Dye primarily writes poetry, tending towards topics of morbidity, love, social justice, and philosophy. She is dreadfully afraid of imperfection and spiders, in no particular order. She has a one-eyed cat named Ivy and a one-track-minded (food!) cat named Rosebud. Aleah hopes to make hearts grow three sizes with her words. She is a 2020 Sundress Publications Best of the Net nominee.

Kate Belt is a poet living in the mountains of West Virginia. About to begin her senior year at WVWC, she will graduate in May with a degree in English Literature. She does her best writing near the river, preferably with a beer and her dog. Her work is available in Vol. 1 of Coffin Corner, published by Varsity Goth Press, and her chapbook Easy Exit to Eleventh Street is available through Ghost City Press.
